Bear Eats Bear, a new workshop in Austin, TX

Well, I finally wrote the close of the Bear Trilogy (which begins with The Last Great American Bear Hunt and Apocalypse Radio). And decided to throw up a workshop to see how our technology will work on actual audiences. If you're in Austin this weekend, swing by!

 

The whole play happens on a cassette tape for you, individually.

This is a drop-in self-guided play. We are producing it on three different days, in three different places. 

 

Please come prepared for a walk in nature. The piece will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. You may arrive at any time during the time slots listed below.

 

Friday, May 13th, anytime between 4pm and 7pm

  • Barton Springs/Barton Creek Greenbelt

  • Collect your equipment at Barton Springs near the main entrance & the statue of the swimmers.

  • You may go swimming before or after the piece, but the equipment will not work in the water.

 

Saturday, May 14th, anytime between 9am and noon

  • Greenbelt at Twin Falls

  • Collect your equipment at the entrance to the Greenbelt near Twin Falls.

  • The address to use is: 3918 S. Mopac Expy.

  • Park along the frontage road.

  • You may go swimming before or after the piece, but the equipment will not work in the water.

 

Sunday, May 15th, anytime between 4pm and 7pm

  • Mueller Park

  • Collect your equipment from under the airport hangar at Mueller Park, officially called the "Browning Hangar."

  • 4209 Airport Blvd.

  • Plenty of parking available.

  • This is the most accessible of the three options if you have concerns about mobility.
